This is a live performance by the shakuhachi and piano unit "Umigame", composed of shakuhachi player: Jun Watanabe and composer/pianist: Kenji Kanemasu.

Since 2009, they have been active as a duo through live performances, commissioned concerts, and event performances.
From Japanese and foreign folk songs, tango and Latin to originals and individual solos, this duo offers a free and solo sound space.
The first piece I performed was ``Escuaro'' by Astor Piazzolla, which I was commissioned to perform at the Heiseikan, Tokyo National Museum. (March 2009)
